Reviews
Good cinema in a very central location. We were in the blue hall, comfortable enough sits for an old movie theater. We were unpleasantly surprised that they have only salty popcorn. No sweet or caramel popcorn at all. Besides that - positive experience.
Very disappointed! The loud music from the neighboring club was extremely disturbing and prevented us from enjoying a cinematic and calm atmosphere while watching the movie.
They do have some good movies, the halls are fine but the service is very poor especially in the ticket office. The lady was very rude and unwilling to help. The other lady tried to fix the situation though. I would definitely prefer to get the tickets online but they told me that the tickets for the movies of Golden Apricot movie festival wouldn’t be available online so I had to visit them beforehand to get the tickets.
Honestly, the building from outside is nice, inside it looks good too. The blue hall is pretty old tho, speakers have to be changed for sure. It’s +40 degrees outside, come on, we are in Armenia, where is the AC? Or if you guys have it why is it not on? It’s impossible to sit inside because of the temperature. Had to leave early.
Cinema in the center of Yerevan has 2 halls. You can watch a movie in English.
The chairs are not so comfortable
Located in the Charles Aznavour square, I was initially confused when walking in as there was a bar, an entrance to a hotel and a bank but I quickly realized that the theater is upstairs.
There is no timetable marquee one can usually look at to determine the showtimes and the movie selections, which I found strange. You have to either go to the website or ask the ticket sales person ( who does not speak english). You chose the seat number from the computer screen (or the website) where you want to be. They accept credit cards for payment.
The foyer has some seating and a place to buy refreshments. The seats were comfortable, the theater was roomy, even though it wasn't the main theater. Not many people were inside for the showing of my Jackie Chan / John Cena Chinese action flick dubbed into Russian.
I'd recommend it for the experience.
